Job Description

About the Program

The Jiinue Growth Program (“JGP” or the “Program”) seeks to address the funding gap for MSMEs in Kenya by pairing up financial support with well-tailored technical assistance, and a hands-on coordination strategy between various partners in the ecosystem. JGP will put out a series of interventions on access to finance bundled with relevant technical assistance and purposeful learning and adaptation. To aid the loan application, assessment, disbursement, and collection, JGP will host a loan origination and servicing platform that will facilitate the allocation of short- and medium-term finance and appropriate technical assistance to Kenya’s small enterprises.

The partnership in the delivery of these interventions reflects an assessment of the project needs and brings on board partners to address them. Three financial intermediaries (Powered by People, Grassroots Business Fund, and 4G Capital) will lead in financial disbursements and pre and post-financial access technical assistance to the 229,500 enterprises segmented by sector and size. JGP recognizes the need to carefully reach onboard and follow the progress of these MSMEs and therefore brings on board three business membership organizations as pipeline partners. The project governance and implementation will be the mandate of the Grassroots Business Fund with implementation support from DT Global.
