Job Purpose
To provide students and recent graduates with hands-on experience, professional development, and meaningful contributions to departmental projects in a supportive learning environment.
Key Accountabilities
The intern will familiarize themself with the areas of intervention within the STI Division, including the TDCP, STI ecosystems, and the various grant programs within the Division. They will assist with the following, in particular:
- Gain hands-on experience in STI Policy, the deployment and scaling of innovative technologies
- Support the planning and coordination of STI programs and initiatives
- Assist in research for development of key concepts and presentations and other related tasks
- Support the organization of and reporting on meetings, workshops and seminars
- Assist in the production of related communication materials such as videos, reports and articles
Academic and professional qualifications
Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Undergraduate student in their final year of study
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s program
- Currently enrolled in a Doctoral program
- Graduated with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree within the past 12 months
Skills, Necessary Knowledge & Languages
- Analytical skills
- Good teamwork skills
- Good writing and verbal communication
- Familiarity with the Microsoft office package including desktop publishing software.
- English - Mandatory
- Arabic - Preferred
- French - Preferred
Program Duration
Internship duration: 3 months
