Senior Technical Manager

About the Role
EAA is seeking a dynamic Senior Technical Manager to lead the ROTA Program Technical Department. Reporting to the Director, you will oversee technical quality, drive innovation, and strengthen partnerships to advance
education, youth empowerment, and climate action initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead strategy, planning, and implementation of ROTA’s technical portfolio.
· Manage partner relationships and ensure delivery of high-quality donor-funded programs.
· Provide technical input on youth capacity building, green skills, carbon credits, and education components.
· Support M&E frameworks, data analysis, and reporting quality.
· Contribute to thought leadership and innovative financing pilots in climate and
education.
· Represent ROTA/EAA in advocacy, partnerships, and international forums.
· Manage and mentor technical staff, ensuring project cycles are delivered on time and to standard.
Qualifications & Experience
· Master’s degree in International Development, Education, Economics, Environmental Studies, or
related field.
·10+ years of international program management experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or coordination role.
· Strong expertise in climate finance and competitiveness, financing mechanisms, climate policy, green jobs,
financing partnerships, resource mobilization, climate investment planning,
renewable energy, and carbon credits.
· Experience in youth/community education, livelihoods, donor-funded programs, program management, pooled funds, and multi-sectoral grants.
· Skilled in monitoring, evaluation, and analytical reporting, with proven ability to manage partnerships and donor compliance.
· Track record in stakeholder engagement, policy development, and cross-sector collaboration.
