Now, we’re looking for a Special Coverage Associate to join our dynamic team — someone organized, collaborative, and passionate about making a difference. What You’ll Do:
- Partnership Powerhouse: Act as a key point of contact between the Special Coverage team and our partner organizations, attending and leading virtual meetings, taking meeting notes, and helping to coordinate with partners, speakers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Project Superhero: Keep our projects moving forward — manage timelines, track deliverables, and keep the team organized and informed leveraging project management and AI tools.
- Editorial Engineer: Write abstracts that define the editorial direction for partner events and sponsored content. Assist in shaping visual elements in collaboration with freelance designers, or your own design skills via Canva.
- Impact Illuminator: Work alongside colleagues to gather performance metrics and build reports that show the reach and impact of our special coverage projects.
- Content Catalyst: Research topics and speakers, develop speaker briefs, help craft engaging social media and marketing copy, and support any write-ups or video recaps from event sessions.
- Contact Archivist: Maintain and update speaker and partner contacts in our CRM system and support with speaker outreach/communications.
- Event Coordination: Have an eye for details and seamless guest and partner experience for live and virtual events. From marketing ahead of the event, in-room experience, and amplification of content after the event.
- Presentation Pro: Assist in preparing polished materials such as speaker bios, kickoff decks, and visual story mock-ups.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in journalism, communications, media production, event coordination or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and meet deadlines, with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable conducting research, organizing information, and crafting briefing documents and social media copy.
- Basic understanding of global development issues and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a plus.
- Experience working with project management tools and CRM systems is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, international relations, or a related field preferred.
- Able to work effectively in a remote, global team environment, with availability to collaborate during Central European Time hours, a must, with some overlap with U.S. Eastern Time morning and afternoons.

This role is a remote position and the salary range will be based on the candidate’s location and market rates to align with Devex’s global compensation philosophy. If selected for an interview, we can share the compensation range specific to your geographic area.
