Job Description

Connexi seeks a Supplier Relationship Manager for the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program – Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project. The project is the primary vehicle through which USAID procures health commodities, provides technical assistance to improve partner countries’ management of supply chains, and collaborates with key international stakeholders to support global health initiatives.

GHSC-PSM is a multi-billion dollar USAID funded objective. The project consolidates the previous procurement and assistance components of the Supply Chain Management System (SCMS) and Deliver programs and is the primary vehicle through which USAID will procure lifesaving commodities to partner countries. Supporting key global health initiatives in HIV/AIDS, HIV, reproductive health, maternal and child health and Zika, the project encompasses three primary objectives: global commodity procurement and logistics; systems strengthening to support in-country supply chain management; and collaboration via strategic engagement to improve long-term global supply of health commodities.

The Supplier Relationship Manager develops and continually improves post-award supplier processes designed to enhance relationships. Connexi serves as a subcontractor to Chemonics on the Global Health Supply Chain (GHSC-PSM) project, which is the primary vehicle through which USAID 1) procures and provides health commodities, 2) provides technical assistance to improve partner countries’ management of the supply chain, and 3) collaborates with key international stakeholders to support global health initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Enhances supplier relationships by developing and continually improving upon post-award supplier processes.
  • Develops and manages supplier scorecards and other reporting, and coordinates ongoing supplier performance improvement working with supply base.
  • Manage the agenda and work of quarterly business reviews for priority suppliers, in coordination with the executive sponsors and technical leads, to provide overall governance of supplier performance managaement.
  • Lead or support technical working groups. Serve as a key internal resource for sourcing events. Provide project management support as needed.
  • Promotes and monitors the implementation of an integrated supply chain involving key supply chain stakeholders at all levels of the system.
  • Offers input regarding negotiation processes and related tools.
  • Supports the development of sourcing strategies, bid packages, and contracts.
  • Provides short term technical assistance and/or capacity building to field offices, as necessary.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of procurement, supply chain, and/or technically relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Masters degree preferred.
  • Solid understanding of USAID and other Federal Acquisition Rules and Regulations.
  • Public health supply chain and/or vendor management experience with pharmaceuticals and/or health commodities is essential
  • Willingness to work overseas for up to 2-4 weeks per year and to consider long-term overseas assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated integrity, independent thinking, judgment, and respect for others.
  • Foreign language fluency desired.

COVID-19 Vaccination Information

The Salary Range for this position is expected to be: $78,800 - $98,500.

An employee’s pay position will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.
