Afghanistan will receive a USD1.2 million technical assistance grant from the
for the expansion of the country's railway system. The grant will back a feasibility study for two railway routes to link northern Afghanistan with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The Afghan Ministry of Public Works will implement the program.
