ADB Backs Vietnam's Power Initiative

    is lending USD151 million to improve electricity services in Vietnam's impoverished and remote communities. The project aims to develop five to 10 minihydropower plants for communes in mountainous areas in the northern and central regions as well as provide financial backing to an  existing rural electrification scheme.
