    The

    and Australian government have agreed to establish a trust fund to back the capture and storage of carbon emissions in Asia. Australia will grant 21.5 million Australian dollars ($16 million) for the Carbon Capture and Storage Fund, designed to support geological investigations and environmental studies, capacity building, and community awareness programs on the deployment of carbon capture and storage demonstration projects in the region.
