Sam Loewenberg is a journalist who covers the intersection of global health, business, government and politics. He has done research on global health and public policy at Harvard University as a fellow at the Nieman Foundation and at the Safra Center for Ethics, and at Columbia as a Knight-Bagehot fellow. His work has appeared in The Economist, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Foreign Affairs, Scientific American, Health Affairs, Playboy, and The Lancet, as well as on PBS. Sam Mednick is a Devex Contributing Reporter based in Burkina Faso. Over the past 15 years she has reported on conflict, post-conflict, and development stories from the Middle East, Africa, Asia, South America, and Europe. She recently spent almost three years reporting on the conflict in South Sudan as the Associated Press correspondent. Her work has also appeared in The New Humanitarian, VICE, The Guardian, Foreign Policy, and Al Jazeera, among others.

Sam Muller is the CEO and founding director of The Hague Institute for Innovation of Law, whose mission is to empower 150 million people to prevent or resolve their most pressing justice problems by 2030. An international lawyer by training, Sam works on justice strategy and innovation at the highest political levels. He has worked for clients that include governments, international businesses, and leading civil society organizations. Sam also led the setting up of the Justice Leadership Foundation and the Wildlife Justice Commission.

Sam Worthington is the president and CEO of InterAction, the largest alliance of U.S.-based relief and development NGOs working overseas. He has served as vice chair of InterAction's board of Directors, chaired its PVO standards and membership committee, and was co-chair of its Commission on the Advancement of Women. Previously, he served as CEO Plan USA.
Saman Alavi

Saman Alavi

Saman Alavi has an academic background in democratic development, religion, and gender relations in South Asia. Since earning a Masters in History from Western University, she has been actively involved in the nonprofit sector. Through her work at Doctors for Doctors and the Middle East and North Africa Research Group, she has facilitated the development of poverty alleviation initiatives. These programs have expanded access to education and healthcare while dismantling gender-based barriers. Most recently, she has joined a team of Canadian entrepreneurs developing Keela, a collaborative online platform designed to address inefficiencies in the social good sector. She believes that the future of social good is in collaboration, transparency, and digital innovation.

Samantha Musoke

Samantha Musoke

Samantha Musoke is Humentum’s project director for IFR4NPO, which is an initiative to develop global financial reporting guidance for nonprofit organizations, in partnership with CIPFA. Based in Uganda, Sam was previously Humentum’s regional director in East Africa and retains links with Ugandan networks. Before the creation of Humentum, Sam worked as an associate trainer and training developer with Mango since 2004. Alongside that, she has held part-time senior finance roles in NGOs and businesses in Uganda, following many years in audit as well as consultancy and training.
Samantha Power

Samantha Power

Samantha Power is the 19th administrator of USAID, the world’s largest bilateral development agency, with a global staff of over 13,000 across more than 100 countries. Prior to joining the Biden-Harris administration, Power served as the U.S. permanent representative to the United Nations from 2013 to 2017 under President Obama. From 2009 to 2013, she served on the National Security Council staff as special assistant to the president and senior director for multilateral affairs and human rights. Power began her career as a war correspondent in Bosnia, and went on to report from countries including Kosovo, Rwanda, Sudan, and Zimbabwe.
