Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called on wealthy nations to deliver aid pledges aimed at mitigating the impact of climate change on one of the world’s most vulnerable countries, Reuters reports. Speaking at a donors’ conference in Dhaka Feb. 15, Hasina said donor countries should immediately release roughly USD10 billion that they pledged for climate change adaption in poorer countries during last year’s climate summit in Copenhagen. Bangladesh has allocated some USD100 million for a climate change fund.
