Bolivia will increase the volume of natural gas its exports to Argentina by up to 35 percent beginning Jan. 1, 2011, Fox News Latino reports. The move is in compliance with a contract signed by Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales Bolivianos, a state-owned energy firm and Argentina’s Enarsa, which is also state-operated. Bolivia’s announcement comes amid uncertainty and fear over the level of its natural gas reserves, which an expert U.S. firm said went down sharply in the past few years, Fox News Latino notes.
