Burkina Faso

    The government of Burkina Faso will scale up to national level a United Nations-backed pilot program that doles out electric generators to rural women farmers. The energy and food processing program has so far helped install 441 diesel-run generators, turning women into entrepreneurs while promoting local access to energy.
