China will make its energy sector cleaner and more efficient with some USD2.8 million in grants from the Asian Development Bank,

reported. The technical assistance grants will help set up and implement a national emissions trading system, and back the government's 20 percent energy savings by 2010. The China Clean Development Mechanism Fund will also receive USD800,000 in ADB policy and advisory assistance to build the fund's institutional capacity.
