    Economic development plans must get “climate-smart” for countries to mitigate the economic costs of a changing climate, the World Bank said. The World Development Report 2010, presented at a round-table forum in Manila Feb. 11, also called on countries to increase investments in technologies, industries and businesses with low-carbon emissions and strategize on climate change risk management, BusinessMirror reports.
