The European Union committed EUR300 million (USD383.3 million) to back African Union peacekeeping missions,

reported. "It will include an early response mechanism, which will strengthen the flexibility and rapidity of the Africa Peace Facility (APF) response," EU and AU said in a statement. "It will provide substantial, predictable funding for Africa-led peace support operations." EU previously contributed EUR440 million for the initiative.
