EU Food Facility Announces Second Aid Package

In its second financing allocation, the

EUR1 billion (USD1.33 billion) food facility will offer EUR394 million to boost agriculture production and food security in the developing world. "This package shows how serious Europe is to assist developing countries to get agriculture back on its feet and to help poor people to improve their food security," EU Commissioner on Development and Humanitarian Aid Louis Michel said.
