The United Nations, United Press International reports, is ready to provide logistical support for Haiti's national elections due this Feb. 28. The agency will administer the distribution of ballots and other electoral materials, according to Hedi Annabi, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's special representative.

"We will assure security, so we will deploy police and military personnel throughout the country," he added.
