The U.S. Agency for International Development representation in Jamaica hopes that the USD90 million allotted for the country will not be diverted to helping Haiti, Jamaica Observer reports. The budget - yet for approval of the U.S. Congress - will support programs from 2010 to 2014, with special focus on tax reform initiative. Jamaica ranks 174th of 183 countries in terms of ease of paying taxes, according to a World Bank study.
