Mozambique Gains Japan Food Assistance

    Japan is giving USD10 million in aid to Mozambique, according to AIM News. The sum will be used to purchase 600 tons of rice.

    The Japanese government also reaffirmed its commitment during the Fourth Tokyo International Conference on African Development to double its aid to Africa over the next five years.

    “I would like to assure you that Japan is determined to implement the undertakings given at TICAD4, without fail,” Japanese Ambassador Susumu Segawa said.
