Burma will not get fresh financial assistance from the Asian Development Bank any time soon, the regional lender told Mizzima. ADB has joined annual International Monetary Fund missions to the Asian country but clarified that it has no plans to provide new assistance. The bank did say it will continue monitoring the country’s economic situation and advise the government regarding poverty reduction.
