The government has increased local fuel prices by approximately 13 percent to reflect a rise in global oil costs, Reuters says. However, some political parties in the governing coalition have denounced the increase as it could spark renewed anger due to the high cost of living in the country. Muttahida Qaumi, the third largest party in the coalition, has urged the government to reverse the price hike.
