The Philippine government has secured commitments from bilateral and multilateral development partners for its poverty eradication programs, among other reform initiatives. The commitments, which include pledges from the Japan International Cooperation Agency and the World Bank, were announced in the country’s first-ever Philippine Development Forum held last week in Manila, the Philippine Star reports.
