Devex Early Intelligence has learned from a program officer at the Swiss Development Agency in Colombia, that SDC will fund projects in various areas spanning from health, natural catastrophe preparedness, and habitat development. For 2009, the agency also intends to provide assistance in conflict prevention efforts, advocating for internally displaced people and building institutional capacities.
The agency has allocated an indicative 13 million Swiss francs (US$11 million) for these initiatives which form part of the 2007-2009 Swiss multi-annual development plan for Colombia.
