The US aid freeze in data: How will UN agencies be affected?

On Feb. 3, Devex revealed how the United Nations will suffer significant consequences from a recent United States decision to freeze foreign aid for 90 days.

On Jan. 24, the U.S. government announced that it would send stop-work letters to all recipients of USAID funding, which includes most United Nations agencies.

A U.N. survey, seen by Devex, identified the likely impact of the aid freeze on agencies. The survey found that the order had already started to impact major U.N. agencies including the World Food Programme, UNICEF, and the World Health Organization.
