Active component members of the U.S. Civilian Response Corps have hit 100 in just 18 months. The corps convenes civilian federal employees who are equipped to quickly deploy to fragile states to thwart conflict or help in the stabilization of post-conflict nations. Its new full-time employees are tasked to train for, prepare and staff conflict prevention efforts, stabilization and reconstruction.
