USAID wants everyone back in the office

Staff at USAID have been told the agency wants them back in the office three days a week.

Agency leaders have not yet detailed when the shift away from remote work will begin, or how it will be implemented, and some staff expressed frustration to Devex about both the general plan and the lack of information about it.

Last Friday, USAID’s leadership informed at least some bureau heads that the agency will “transition in the coming months to more meaningful in-person presence,” according to an internal email to staff in USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, which was shared with Devex.
