The World Bank and the Asian Development Bank will lend a combined USD110.3 million to support Vietnam’s projects on agriculture, poverty reduction and infrastructure rehabilitation, the Hindu reported. The package includes a USD59.8 million allocation from the World Bank to help execute a farm initiative in eight central provinces in the Asian nation. Meanwhile, ADB will disburse USD25 million for the Vietnam’s poverty alleviation policy reforms and another USD25.5 million to help restore typhoon-struck rural infrastructure.
