The World Bank is lending USD12 million to enhance infrastructure services in Bhutan’s Thimphu city. The project will help build roads, storm water drainage, water supply, sewerage, and street lighting. It also seeks to improve municipal finance and management, as well as help set up an efficient intergovernmental fiscal transfer system.
