The World Bank is providing USD25 million to bolster social protection in Armenia. The loan will go toward the Second Development Policy Operation for Armenia, which aims to guard pro-poor spending in the government budget, back social safety programs, boost access to preschool programs in poor communities, and enhance the efficiency of health service delivery through using performance-based contracting for noncommunicable disease treatment.
