World Bank Boosts Social Protection in Armenia

The World Bank is providing USD25 million to bolster social protection in Armenia. The loan will go toward the Second Development Policy Operation for Armenia, which aims to guard pro-poor spending in the government budget, back social safety programs, boost access to preschool programs in poor communities, and enhance the efficiency of health service delivery through using performance-based contracting for noncommunicable disease treatment.
