    Yemen needs approximately USD4 billion in economic aid every year to be able to rescue its impoverished economy, the country's foreign minister said as quoted by

    . Minister Abubakr al-Qirbi said that at a minimum, Yemen needs USD2 billion a year in development aid, but added that "if you want a real impact, a real change in the economy, standards of living of population, addressing the issues of basic needs of Yemenis, you need more than that."
