Askaan, a Senegalese organization was created in 2017, by Public Health specialists who have long worked at a strategic level both at the national and regional levels; the objective being to contribute to the emergence of communities so that they take charge of the changes necessary for their development and well-being.
Their organization is distinguished by its ability to holistically grasp a health issue, thus allowing the resolution of complex problems while developing innovative and inclusive approaches integrating the gender dimension. These approaches make the link between theoretical and practical models, always putting the community at the center of the process.
