Cambridge International Examinations prepares school students for life, helping them develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning. They are part of Cambridge Assessment, a department of the University of Cambridge.
Their international qualifications are recognised by the world’s best universities and employers, giving students a wide range of options in their education and career. As a not-for-profit organisation, they devote their resources to delivering high-quality educational programmes that can unlock learners' potential.
In England they are recognised by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual), the government regulator of examinations, to provide regulated qualifications. (They are also recognised in Wales by Qualifications Wales and in Northern Ireland by CCEA.) This means they, and their regulated assessments and qualifications, are monitored and meet appropriate standards – whether they are taken in the UK or anywhere else in the world. They work closely with the UK regulators to maintain their recognised status and certify every year that they satisfy their requirements.
