Cáritas is an organization of the Catholic Church that works to respond to the social problems of excluded communities and people in situations of poverty in the country.
More than 32,000 volunteers make up 3,500 work teams throughout the country, whose mission and service is to be together with people, generating fraternal bonds, promoting a culture of work, solidarity and the common good.
Cáritas implements programs in education, early childhood, social and solidarity economy, self-construction of homes, addictions, legal advice, health care and immediate help in situations of poverty or climatic emergencies.
