Centre for the Development of People (CEDEP) is a Human Rights organization registered in Malawi in 2006. CEDEP’s mission is to create an enabling environment and protect the wellbeing of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) and other vulnerable groups.
CEDEP has presence in all 4 political regions of Malawi namely; Northern, Central, Southern and Eastern. CEDEP has 4 offices present in Mzuzu (North), Lilongwe (Center), Blantyre (South) and Mangochi (East) which act as focal offices for the other districts within respective regions.
Currently, CEDEP is implementing projects directly in 14 districts of Malawi namely; Karonga, Nkhata Bay and Mzuzu in the Northern Region; Kasungu, Nkhotakota, Salima, Lilongwe, Mchinji, Dedza in the Central Region; Blantyre, Chikwawa and Mulanje in the Southern Region and Mangochi and Zomba in the Eastern Region.
