Commité de Coopération avec Laos (CCL) is a French non-governmental organization based in Vientiane, Laos. Our main goal is to enhance rural development and contribute to poverty alleviation in Lao PDR. We have been running rural development programs in the northern uplands of Laos since 1980 in order to improve the livelihoods of Lao people, especially targeting ethnic minorities groups and remote women.
Over the past 30 years, we have been providing financial support and training on nutrition, health and sanitation issues, food processing, value chain development, sustainable agriculture practices but also capacity building and gender equity, to many rural communities of Xiengkhouang, Phongsaly and Oudomxay, to improve their living conditions.
By empowering them, we enhance rural development and we contribute to reduce poverty as well as food insecurity in Lao PDR. Our projects also focus on climate change resilience and natural resource management in order to ensure a better and inclusive future to the most vulnerable.
