Equipop is a feminist international solidarity association dedicated to promoting the health and rights of women and girls worldwide. Grounded in feminist values, the organization envisions a world where all individuals—regardless of sex or gender—have their sexual and reproductive rights respected and can actively contribute to just, humane, and sustainable societies
Mission & Strategy
Equipop’s work is multifaceted, combining social and political mobilization, project engineering, knowledge production, and both financial and technical support for partner associations and feminist activists. A particular emphasis is placed on contributing to translocal collective action, offering flexible, long-term support to grassroots feminist actors
Activities: Equipop’s operations are structured around three pillars:
Impulse: Partnering with local actors to drive social change at various territorial levels, while also contributing to knowledge generation by linking activism, research, and advocacy
Mobilize: Engaging political leaders and citizens to defend women’s rights and advocate for feminist-informed societal frameworks.
Empower: Supporting activists and associations through financial and technical accompaniment, amplifying their voices and reinforcing transnational collective action
Values & Evolution: The association has long been committed to women’s rights and health. In 2005, Equipop integrated a gender approach into all its actions; in 2016, it explicitly embraced a feminist vision to ensure transformative power remained central to its work
Transparency & Finances: Equipop upholds rigorous financial transparency. It diversifies its funding sources to maintain independence and adaptability in launching field projects. The association’s annual financial statements are audited by a statutory auditor and regularly reviewed by its public and private donors—including AFD, French ministries, the UN, the European Union, and private foundations
