Hand in Hand for Syria is a UK Charitable Incorporated Organisation that was set up soon after the start of the conflict in Syria in 2011. Established by a group of British-Syrians, the charity has grown to become a leading humanitarian force inside the country. 

Today, Hand in Hand for Syria employs more than 450 members of staff on the ground in Syria, we have two operational offices in Turkey, as well as an additional international office in London.

Hand in Hand for Syria's extensive network of staff living on the ground in Syria means we are able to work in some of the hardest-hit and most-difficult to reach areas. 

Hand in Hand for Syria provides life-saving humanitarian aid as well as work on establishing long-term projects to help rebuild the country. 

What Hand in Hand for Syria does goes beyond short-term emergency provision. The crisis has led to catastrophic destruction of the country’s infrastructure - not just medical and educational, but economical too. We want to provide Syrian communities with the dignity of being able to rebuild their own lives. It works closely with civilians to improve their quality of living, help equip them with skills, create opportunities and direct them towards sustainable livelihoods. That means access to clean water, food and healthcare, as well as the opportunity to earn a living again. 

Hand in Hand for Syria partners and works with international NGO’s and governments who do not have access to Syria – to deliver aid on their behalf.

Hand in Hand for Syria's goal is to empower every Syrian in need by strengthening resilience, distributing humanitarian aid, reconstructing vital infrastructure and implementing sustainable livelihood programmes directly inside Syria, including in those areas otherwise inaccessible to others.
