International Relief Teams is a nonprofit humanitarian organization dedicated to alleviating human suffering caused by poverty, disaster, and neglect, both in the United States and around the world.
During disasters, International Relief Teams provides emergency supplies, including food, water, health kits, medicines, and other necessary resources. Their work continues through the recovery phase, supplying aid as long as needed in various forms, including repairing and rebuilding houses.
International Relief Teams also supports a wide variety of programs that promote the health and well-being of vulnerable communities. Activities are tailored to the needs of the communities served, aiming to address inequities, support access to services, and produce lasting results. Working with local partners and dedicated volunteers, the programs focus on supporting the most vulnerable people, especially women and children, through the provision of emergency food, sustainable nutrition, medicines and medical supplies, and improved housing.
Since 1988, International Relief Teams has deployed more than 7,500 volunteers and provided $623 million in food, medicines, relief supplies, and volunteer services to families in need in 76 countries worldwide.
