About
Every single person is a unique, irreplaceable being and has the same dignity. The dignity of man is inviolable. This is absolutely true. Their entire state, their entire society, is based on this conviction. It is initially completely irrelevant from which religious, philosophical, ideological or cultural source this basic conviction is fed.
For them, the conviction of human dignity is based on the Christian image of God and man. Their basic Christian conviction is the basis for their actions. They help out of charity. Especially in a time when wars, catastrophes and strokes of fate cause a variety of suffering, illness, loneliness, homelessness, refugee misery and other hardships, they want to meet those in need with and in their service with love and thereby make God's attention to us human beings tangible.
Their help is free of prejudice: They help everyone in need - regardless of their origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation or worldview. For them it is irrelevant what skin color or what appearance he has, what language he speaks and also why he is in need.
People who work on behalf of the Maltese let themselves be touched by the need of the needy and want to provide concrete help and support. All people of good will are invited to follow their path and support their ministry.
As Maltese, they are politically independent and neutral. Their actions in the service of their neighbor as well as the values of the Maltese also determine their attitude to political and social issues. They reject all forms of violence and, in particular, distance themselves from actions against inviolable human dignity. Political attitudes that are directly or indirectly directed against human dignity are not compatible with their basic convictions.
