HISTORICAL
Following an international conference on human rights in 1997 in Ouagadougou, at the initiative of the Inter-African Union for Human Rights (UIDH), some twenty Burkinabè civil society organizations created the National Network anti-corruption (REN-LAC). It aims to be a contribution of civil society to the fight against corruption in Burkina Faso.
VISION
REN-LAC's vision is the advent of a Burkinabé society committed, as a whole, to the defense and promotion of integrity and good governance.
MISSION
Work for the guarantee of good morality and transparency in the management of public affairs.
GOALS
The general objective of REN-LAC is to “contribute to the eradication of corruption in Burkina Faso”. As such, it has set the following specific objectives:
conduct awareness campaigns on the phenomenon of corruption through the organization of days of reflection, seminars, conferences, and through publications;
give its opinion on any file relating to corruption, make proposals for measures to be taken, monitor their effective application and publicize them for educational purposes;
contribute to the taking by the State of measures aimed at combating acts of corruption in national and international commercial transactions;
engage in any action aimed at combating corruption.
