For 15 years the proven social entrepreneurs of New Development Solutions Group (NDSG) have been going beyond “teaching a woman/man how to fish” mobilizing the capacities of individuals, communities and organizations to effectuate sustainable, positive impact in marginalized communities. Their mission is to work with their partners to design and execute social innovations that address both real and perceived community needs and wants. They co create ventures and models whereby all stakeholders are empowered to both add and derive value. 

Journey

This is most certainly a journey. As the saying goes “A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step”. With an overall vision of co creating empowerment opportunities with their individual, community and organizational partners, the NDSG team has been working tirelessly (Actually we get very tired sometimes!) since 2001 to build social entrepreneurial responses to community challenges by including all key stakeholders in both the design and implementation. They have always aspired to be generous in time and spirit, humble in approach, empathetic in relationships, and entrepreneurial in execution.

Over the course of this journey they are confident that they have gained truly unique expertise and believe the evidence proves this. This has been and continues to be a learning journey. The quote that they love that best demonstrates the value add they bring to the table is this. “Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing not to put it in fruit salad.” How does one get from knowledge to wisdom? Experience. Experience and Experience.  This has been and continues to be the outcome of their journey.
