The Quality Education and Skills Training (QUEST) Alliance is a not for profit trust that focuses on research-led innovation and advocacy in the field of teaching and learning. It engages with multiple stakeholders to demonstrate and enable scalable solutions in education and vocational training using Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
They provide children & youth, age 10-30, a set of real-world skills along with opportunities to build confidence in a fun and engaging way that prepares them for work and life. QUEST Alliance was founded in the year 2005 as a program of the International Youth Foundation (IYF), financially supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to help educators and educational institutions drive the use of technology in teaching and learning. The IYF mandate ended in 2009, after which QUEST Alliance has been established as a not for profit trust that focuses on research-led innovation in teaching and learning. It engages with educators, civil society, government institutions and corporate organizations to demonstrate and enable scalable and replicable solutions in educational and vocational training. The learning interventions designed and implemented by QUEST help young people develop confidence and enable them to choose and engage in relevant and appropriate learning pathways. They synthesize and share experiences widely through evaluation studies, consultations and large format events. Through their experiences in the field, knowledge sharing events and policy level dialogues are facilitated on the use of content, pedagogy and technology to improve the delivery of learning for disadvantaged groups.
