Sharecast Initiative Nepal, a not-for-profit distributing company, founded in 2013, is a new media organization focused on promoting digital content sharing and distribution through online and local radios in Nepal. Sharecast believes that audience data, innovation (content, ideas, marketing and operation), and institutionalization can build a strong foundation for sustainable local media. Sharecast’s work focusses primarily on audience data, content innovation and institutional development of radio stations in Nepal.
Sharecast envisions an informed, empowered and digital friendly society through media innovation, development and research. It intendw to achieve this goal by giving birth to new ranks of dedicated journalists who believe in the power of local radio, by sharing of content and enabling more diverse voices and by building new market for audience demand driven media content with international standards.
