Welfare Association (WA)
The Welfare Association (WA) was registered with the Charity Commission of England and Wales in 1993 (Registered charity number No. 1020238) and works to support some of the most marginalised Palestinian families and communities in the West Bank and Gaza and in the refugee camps and gatherings of Lebanon. Their international development and emergency relief projects are funded through the EC, DFID, UK trusts, foundations, British public and through fundraising events.
Everyone is equal with the same fundamental rights (to life, security, a sustainable livelihood and to basic social services, etc.)
Palestinian communities are denied their rights, and face continued loss of livelihoods and basic services leading to increased levels of poverty.
Empowerment: WA empowers communities through partnership, programme support and capacity building.
Commitment: WA is committed to improving the lives of the most vulnerable Palestinian communities.
Accountability and transparency: WA is fully accountable to our donors, our supporters and to the Palestinian communities we work with.See more
