WeRobotics
About

WeRobotics brings together decades of professional experience, expertise and contacts across multiple sectors including the humanitarian, development, environmental, robotics and business sectors. They already have a proven track record in spearheading successful, international “robotics for good” initiatives as evidenced by DroneAdventures and UAViators. In this capacity, and in the course of the past three years, they carried out dozens of aerial robotics missions and trainings in dozens of countries for a wide range of humanitarian, development and environmental projects. In addition to this unique practical experience, all four of them hold advanced graduate degrees—1 MBA and 3 PhDs. They are teaming up as WeRobotics to sustainably scale the positive impact of robotics across multiple social good sectors.

They co-create local innovation labs – Flying Labs – in developing and at-risk countries to accelerate and scale the impact of their partners’ humanitarian, development, health and environmental efforts through the use of appropriate robotics solutions. They do this together with their local partners – universities, not-for-profit groups, community organizations and/or local government – and with their tech partners – robotics manufacturers, associated technology companies and research institutes.

They follow the Drone Code of Conduct for Social Good and use a four-phased framework to co-create their global network of labs. Through this framework their labs can quickly deploy and use aerial robotics, maritime robotics and terrestrial robotics for a range of local applications such as data collection and cargo transportation. Their framework is also available as a “start-up” kit for selected partners who wish to co-create their own local Flying Labs.

WeRobotics is active across the fields of humanitarian aid, global development and environmental protection. They set-up and manage dedicated program tracks that run across all their Flying Labs. Working with program tracks allows to document lessons learned and insights within each sector of each Flying Lab, then sharing this knowledge across all labs and local partners to enable them to increase the impact of their sector-specific projects.

Their goal is to create a global robotics community targeting the humanitarian aid, global development and nature conservation sectors, bringing together all the stakeholders involved: local communities in developing countries, locally and globally active NGOs and the relevant robotics hardware and software manufacturers.
