A highly dedicated and adaptable individual with over 20 years of professional experience in MEL, researches, special studies and impact assessments, data management and analysis and data quality assurance in both development and humanitarian contexts with a list of international donor-funded (USAID, FCDO, EU, CIFF, DANIDA, etc.) projects/INGOs and UN Agencies such as UN-FAO/South Sudan, IOM, UNDP, World Economic Forum, IFPRI, CRS, World Vision, FHI 360, Child Fund etc., international development consulting firms, and with the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia. Extensive experience in designing and implementing MEL systems, program/project evaluations (performance & impact), and researches in areas of health, WASH, climate, environment, food security and livelihoods, protection, etc. Hands-on expertise in qualitative and quantitative methods and analysis, and producing well-articulated research/evaluation reports. Technical expertise in several areas including: health, WASH, climate change adaptation and mitigation, disaster risk management, natural resource management, and Food Security (including interventions developing and transferring innovative solutions and technologies that address climate change impacts on WASH, agriculture etc.). Broad understanding of Ethiopia's health, WASH and DRM policies, strategies and systems, including experience in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of these interventions. Core Skills and Competencies Extensive experience in designing and planning qualitative researches and evaluations, including development of research tools (interview & focus group topic guides) for use in evaluations/studies; Proven experience conducting qualitative, participatory data collection and outcome-related research and evaluations using human-centred design, outcome harvesting, and contribution analysis methods; Demonstrated strong data management and analysis, and report writing skills; Expert knowledge and experience using quantitative and qualitative data analysis soft wares (SPSS, STATA, Advanced Excel, NVivo, Dedoose etc.); Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective relationships with government stakeholders, NGO partners, and international donor agencies; Proven teamwork, communication and coordination skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks, and deliver high quality results under tight deadlines; Professional fluency in English and Amharic (written and spoken).
