Summary

Andrew Ajuang Anguko has over 15 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, training, program development, communications, and research. I served as team lead for designing, conducting, and managing evaluations for the Malaria Consortium projects in Africa region; provided quality control oversight for evaluation; and ensured the integrity of the methodology, process, and comparability of evaluation findings. I was responsible for leading a multidisciplinary cross-cultural team and an expert in quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods. I served as lead subject matter expert on evaluation task teams and provided high-level technical support in the field for on-going evaluations and capacity building. Lead expert in developing and designing performance monitoring systems and Monitoring and Evaluation plans. Lead expert in training and other M&E capacity building. I was responsible for planning and conducting training workshops on monitoring and evaluation topics, for Uganda Ministry of health staff and other stakeholders. I have been lead expert in conceptualizing quantitative and qualitative data collection and analytical methods to support evaluation design and implementation; Communications Specialist lead expert in synthesizing complex technical issues and subjects for presentation to diverse stakeholders and audiences. My technical program areas of expertise include population, health and nutrition; environment and natural resources; education and training; global health; human capacity development; and crosscutting programs (conflict management, humanitarian, urban programs, water and sanitation, youth, gender and development); and evaluation methodology, design and training. I am a citizen of Kenya and has worked in long-term positions based in Uganda, South Sudan, Zambia, Nigeria and South Africa. I am fluent in English and have a Bachelor of Science in Forestry, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Moi University, a Master of Science degree in Medical Statistics from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and a Master of Science in Medicine (Population Based Field Epidemiology) from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Medical Statistics from the University of Nairobi.
