Ms Kariuki is a Financial Management Executive with 14 years of experience in finance and accounting and has managed multi-million-dollar programs with international organizations. She is an expert in executing team driven process improvements, managing multiple grants, increasing operational efficiency, and providing overall technical assistance and capacity building. Ms Kariuki has expertise and understanding of various donor funds having managed financials for projects funded by USAID, DFID, Rockefeller, Gates Foundation (BMGF), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), Global Environment Facility (GEF), EU, BMZ, KFW and Mastercard Foundation, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), SIDA, IKEA Foundation among others. Key organizations that have shaped her career include International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI-CGIAR), Alliance for Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), Habitat for Humanity International and USAID projects. Currently working as Director of Finance and Administration for USAID Funded Projects at United States International University Africa. Ms Kariuki obtained both her Master of Business Administration, Finance and Bachelor of Arts in Economics at University of Nairobi and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (ICPAK) and a Certified Public Accountant-Kenya (CPA-K).
