Daren Trudeau

Daren Trudeau is an international development professional with 20 years of experience managing public health projects in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. He currently serves as the Director of Global Health for Macro-Eyes AI and was formerly the Deputy Country Director for Jhpiego Mozambique. As Director or Global Health, he oversees the development of use cases and integration of artificial intelligence products into country level deployments in six countries. As Deputy Country Director he managed the operational and technical aspects of donor funded projects (CDC, USAID, UNITAID and DOD) totaling $30 million a year. An effective leader, he has worked with large (265) and small teams coordinating annual work planning processes, budgeting, contracts, procurement, administration and donor reporting. Daren has also worked as Deputy Chief of Party on the Maternal child Survival Project (MCSP), where he provided technical and operational oversight to the four year, $50 million USAID-funded MCSP Mozambique project which integrated eight technical areas including WASH, maternal, newborn and child health, immunization, malaria, gender, and Health System Strengthening (HSS). Mr. Trudeau has proven experience engaging with government counterparts, partner organizations and other stakeholders to ensure the optimal use of resources and delivery of results. He has worked on donor-funded health projects in Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Benin, Botswana, Zambia, Rwanda, Madagascar and DRC. Mr. Trudeau holds a master’s degree in Development Studies, a graduate certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and PMD certification. He is fluent in French, Portuguese, Spanish and English.
