* I am an experienced development economist and evaluation expert who has worked at a senior level with governments, international development agencies, NGO's and businesses to address sustainable development challenges in many countries. * I was an Economic Advisor and Senior Economic Advisor at the UK's Department for International Development (DfID) from 2004 - 2015 working in a variety of roles. I have also undertaken secondments to the European Commission (DG Devco/ EuropeAid) and the World Bank (OPCS). * I have professional experience working in sub-Saharan Africa (Mozambique, Zambia, Tanzania, Ghana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Sudan, DRC); North Africa (Egypt, Tunisia); Middle East (Jordan, OPTs, Iraq), Asia/ Pacific (Papua New Guinea, Philippines), South America (Brazil) and the Western Balkans (Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzogovina). * Core skills in economic analysis, project appraisal, value for money (VfM) assessments, cost-benefit analysis, monitoring and evaluation of development programmes including budget support operations. * I have worked on analytical studies, development projects and reform programmes in the areas of investment promotion, trade facilitation, private sector development, market systems development, regional economic integration, budget support (GBS and SBS), public financial management and tax policy and administration in a range of emerging markets and developing countries. * Languages: English (mother tongue), Portuguese (advanced level), French (medium level)
